UK Climate Change Levy
Effect on energy bills

The Levy added to bills is as follows:

Electricity: 0.43 pence per kWh purchased. This is around 10% of a typical 4-5p/kWh price.

Gas: 0.15 pence per kWh purchased. This is around 15-20% of a typical 0.6-1p/kwh price.

Coal: 0.15 pence per kWh purchased (1.17 p/kg).

Fuel oil: not subject to the Levy.

Liquified petroleum gas: 0.07 pence per kWh purchased.
