Weston super Mare. A 2-way lane of 1.2m. Confusing central line is intended to separate pedestrians from cyclists. Pedestrians largely ignore it and wander over the whole path - and why shouldn't they? It is heavily overgrown and is poorly maintained and seldom swept. Very bad training for children because going one way the cyclist is supposed to keep right of the central line, and to the left going the other way.
Tip: It might seem attractive to the new cyclist, but you will soon get fed up with punctures, avoiding dogs and their owners, and the absence of contact with the street scene. Take children on light trafficked cul de sacs where they can get to know the rules of the road.
Keep in the dedicated cycle lane, press button, wait for signal. Pedestrians have a separate path and crossing.
